Installation of
the Reverend George Ramsudh:
The Reverend George Ramsudh was installed as the
Pastor of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church (LCMS), 145th
Street & Convent Avenue on Sunday, September 23,
2007. The Rite of Installation was administered
by the Rev. Dr. Dien Taylor, Circuit Counselor,
Circuit Five. The Rev. Dr. David Benke,
President of the Atlantic District - LCMS was
the preacher. Following his installation, Pastor
Ramsudh presided at the celebration of the Holy
Eucharist. MAG congratulates Pastor Ramsudh and
his family, and the congregation of saints at Mt
Zion Lutheran Church.

Dedication
Service for Missionaries to Guyana
A Dedication Service for missionaries from
India, Mr. & Mrs. Deva and Parrot Sayaham was
held at Immanuel Lutheran Church (LCMS),
Whitestone, Queens, on Sunday, September 16,
2007. They will be working among students
of the University of Guyana, Berbice Campus, in
sharing the Gospel of Jesus to the unchurched
and those who have never heard the Good News of
salvation. The Sahayams have served for
many years as missionaries on University
campuses in Bihar, India, and in Fiji under the
auspices of the Inter-Varsity Christian
Fellowship. In was in Fiji that the
invitation was received from Guyanese to go to
the mission field in Guyana among people of the
Indian Diaspora. The Indians in Guyana are
descendants of Indentured Servants from India
who were taken by the then British Empire to
work on the sugar plantations after the
abolition of slavery in 1834. The Indian Indentureship program
by the British began in 1838 and lasted until 1917. Pray for the Sayahams.
